Ian Stewart is a specialist in:

> government and agency transformation and capability development

> facilitation and establishment of strategic enterprise architecture capability

> strategic enterprise management – review, assessment and mapping

> Indigenous research, evaluation and community development

Ian works at the leading edge of large-step organisational change programs, helping executives to build organisational capability, develop corporate strategic directions and collaborate with partners in the extended enterprise.  He has made a significant contribution to whole of government architecture and capability development.

Ian is a skilled research director, interviewer, group discussion facilitator and field researcher. He has a strong research and evaluation background and extensive experience working with a wide range of government agencies, industry and community-based organisations. He is particularly effective in engaging internal and external stakeholders to help shape strategic direction, build consensus and create shared and agreed solutions to complex organisational challenges.

Ian also has a distinguished background in education, training and children’s services having held a range of senior positions, including Principal Lecturer and Foundation Head of the School of Education Studies at Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, and Senior Research Fellow and Foundation Head of the Indigenous Curriculum, Research and Evaluation Unit at Sydney University.

Ian was the first Chair of the Northern Territory Children’s Services Industry Training Advisory Committee. He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Member of the Market and Social Research Society of Australia, and a Member of the Council for Security Co-operation in the Asia Pacific (Australian Member Committee).
